This summer and last year

Well it all starts with dreams that God lays on your heart. At first you get excited, and think it has to happen today. Then you realize that just because he has given you the dream doesn't mean that it is supposed to happen at this moment, and it could be for future use.

Well Chad and I both have had dreams of doing our passions. This last summer God said its time to leap and we did. Chad was leaving construction, financial security, and a guaranteed promtion to pursue what he is called to do. Lead, and help others. Myself, to leave a job with worldly security and start a personal training business.

Well as you know we both lept. Scared fearful and unsure what the future would look like we did. Everyday praying to God "how is this going to work financially, it doesn't make sense"

At this point I can only speak for myself, I am sure Chad will add more later.

It is funny that when God gives you a plan He doesn't show you the big picture. There are many unknowns as we all know. For some reason I took it upon myself to fill in the blanks. What do "I" want this business to look like? How much money do"I" want to make? What does the world say this should look like? I spent a summer worrying about how my buisness should look and the fact that I wasn't making the amount of money I needed to make, or so I thought. Funny thing, our needs were being met, yet I couldn't let well enough alone. I found myself worrying about this buisness day and night. I would be at the beach with my kids spending the time I had always wanted to spend with them, and not being able to concentrate on them, but worry about our future.

I even got so worried that I applied to be a sherriffs dispatcher. I was thinking the economy is going down hill, this job has security. I again was trying to take things in my own hands. In my head I saw myself investing the next 20 years as a sherriffs dispatcher and not worrying about income or insurance. Ha Ha Ha. I knew in my heart that God did not call me to leave a place and do his work with women, to only have me back in a box. I would try and sugar coat the sherrifs position. Tell myself, I am an encourager, this is perfect for me. Yeah I would have done fine, but would I have thrived? Probaly not. I started praying for God's intervention, as I started in on the fifth step of the hiring process. I started to believe I may actually get this position. I prayed God would close the door before me if I wasn't suppose to walk through it. That the door would be closed so tight that there would not be a doubt in my mind of his will for me. The day before Thanksgiving I received a letter in the mail stating that I had not been selected for the position. I was a little upset, EXUSE ME? The next morning I went for a run and God showed me how this was not his purpose for me, and to trust him. I felt free. I knew without a doubt God wanted me right where I was. After that I was able to breathe and just trust him. He was going to take care of all our needs. As soon as that door shut five more opened all pertaining to personal training.

God was waiting for me to let go, so that he could begin to open the doors he had ready for me. I was standing in his way, by not trusting him, and trying to "control" the outcome.

Currently God is continuly opening up opportunities and blessings that you would have never saw coming. My encouragement to you, is Get Out The Way.

How you ask:

Read the Word, memorize scripture
Everyday I am saying Gods word from memory, it helps to remind me its his plan

Be ready to step into every opportunity that God gives you. Try not to rationlize it and see how it benefits you. Just do, and let God do the coordinating. You will never know how God can use that experience in the future or that connection.

Be true to what God tells You. He is in charge. Other peoples advice is wonderful, but ultimately the don't know what tomorrow holds any better than you do. Having accountability partners and a prayer network is different, they want what Gods wants for you. At the end of the day Go Gods Way.

I would love to hear your lessons you learned and how God is shaping you daily. Share the miracles that God is doing in your life. You never know how God can use it.

Obvisously I don't have a problem sharing, don't feel that you need to be as detailed or long.
